Coming Mar. 8th for one day. Decided on a hopper. How busy this time of the year (pre spring break)? Hoping to be able to hit many of the "big rides" in each park. Need to get a FP for RSR at opening? Thanks so much! Use the panel often for plann

    Hi, Jill!

Yay—your springtime visit to the Disneyland Resort is just a few weeks away! The Southern California weather will likely be gorgeous, and the colorful flowers and lush foliage around the resort is one of my favorite things about visiting this time of year.

Since schools on the West Coast close for spring break at different times (some around the Easter holiday, and others during a set annual week in March or April) the resort is expected to be consistently busy from the second weekend in March to last weekend in April. However, while theme park crowd levels will likely be higher during your visit, don’t let your excitement be lessened! Park hours will be long and the entertainment schedule will be bustling, so you should have many opportunities to experience most of the “must-dos” on your list. Be sure to utilize Disney’s FASTPASS service when available to optimize your time, and check out in advance so you can pick out your family’s go-to attractions and shows for each park. Consider staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel so you’re as close to the parks as possible and able to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hour. I also suggest making dining reservations now for any table-service meals you might like to enjoy.

Radiator Springs Racers is still very popular and can have a long stand-by queue at certain times of the day. The best plan is to obtain a FASTPASS ticket for the attraction immediately after park opening. The FASTPASS line for Radiator Springs Racers currently forms outside Carthay Circle Restaurant.  Be sure that getting the FASTPASS is your first priority, because they have been known to run out within 60 minutes of park opening.

I hope this helps, Jill, and that you have a wonderfully pixie-dusted visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Please write back with more questions as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
