Hello, We are coming from the lone star state for my son bday and my anniversary. Do we have to have meal selection selected even though we booked our restaurants?

    Hello, Rebecca!

Welcome back. I hope you are having fun planning your vacation around your son's birthday! It will be here before you know it.

Based on your previous questions, I am assuming you will have the Disney Dining Plan. If so, great choice. Having the dining plan really adds convenience and value to your vacation. Whether you have the dining plan or not, you do not have to select your meals until it's time to dine at that location.

Table service restaurants will offer you a menu when you are seated and you will be able to choose your meals then. Buffet restaurants will likely point out a few key items along the buffet, but you'll be free to choose yourself. Your server will also ask if you're on the dining plan and then point out what your entitlements will include on the menu, based on your plan.

I hope this helps! It sounds like you are off to a good start by having your advanced dining reservations in place, you do not need to do anything further.

    Happy Dining!
