Amanda, it sounds like you have a fantastic morning planned during your upcoming
Walt Disney World vacation.
'Ohana for breakfast is one of my favorite spots. I am so glad that the restaurant has finally opened back up after such a long time of being refurbished. I truly missed it. During breakfast, you can expect an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal served family-style right to your table. On the menu are offerings like scrambled eggs, pork breakfast sausage, Hawaiian-style ham with pineapple compote, fried island-style potatoes, biscuits and my favorite - Mickey waffles! When you'd like more of a menu item, you'll simply as your server and they'll be more than happy to bring some more of it out for you.
Currently, breakfast at 'Ohana is not listed as a character experience and I don't know if Lilo and Stitch will be coming back to greet Guests there once again. However, more and more character experiences are returning to Walt Disney World so that's a great sign! Be sure to keep an eye on the 'Ohana webpage and the
Disney Parks Blog. If there is an announcement about characters returning to this meal, that's where we are going to be able to find out all of the information.
During the renovations of
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the theme changed to more of a Moana-inspired feel. I'm hoping that if we see characters return to 'Ohana whether it be for breakfast or dinner it might be an updated version of the meal with new characters from the movie Moana. I think that could be really fun!
