Hello, Ashley!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by with your
Disneyland Resort question. I’m happy to hear that you might be traveling to the Happiest Place on Earth this summer. Did you know
Avengers Campus, an all-new land, recently opened in Disney California Adventure Park? It’s the best place to see some popular superheroes in action!
It sounds like you’ve heard about the
Disability Access Service (DAS) system, which was designed for Guests who aren’t able to wait in a traditional standby queue due to a physical or cognitive disability. It allows them and their party (up to 6 people total, including the person needing DAS) to receive a return time for
attractions based on the current wait time. Each person’s condition and needed accommodations are considered on an individual basis per request. I can’t guarantee that your niece would qualify, but if it sounds like DAS would help her, I encourage you to inquire about it. After you arrive at the resort, please visit City Hall in
Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in
Disney California Adventure Park to speak with a Guest Relations Cast Member in detail about her specific needs. Your niece must be present when the request is made, and a parent or guardian should have their valid theme park ticket and photo ID handy as well.
I hope this helps, Ashley, and that you all have a magical experience together at the Happiest Place on Earth! Please don’t hesitate to send us any other questions you have as your pixie-dusted vacation approaches.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
