Hi!! We’re coming in June and ready to plan our days! We def want to make sure we spend some time at the pools. We’re doing a split res between Copper Creek & Polynesian! What are the pool hours at these resorts? Any must do’s I should add to my list?

    Hi Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney!

Split stays are the best stays! It's like having two trips in one! Each resort is themed so differently that the vibe of your vacation will change when switching from one to the other. You'll have access to new dining locations and resort amenities, including the style of pool and activities offered. Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort both have fantastic main pool areas and stunning views all around. My family loves incorporating resort time into our stay and utilizing the pools as much as possible. When you are visiting during the summer months, it's the best place to cool down and relax while taking a break from the parks.

The main pool hours at each of these resorts are from 10 AM to 11 PM daily (Keep in mind that hours are always subject to change). This gives you a huge portion of the day to enjoy using this amenity. There are plenty of ways to incorporate pool time into your day. You can head to a park in the morning hours and then return to the resort for an afternoon swim when the days tend to be the hottest. And then return to the park in the evening for any nighttime festivities. You can also spend a good chunk of your day at the parks, and then head to the pool when you arrive back in the evenings. I may be a big kid at heart, but there is something still special about swimming at night under the lights!

In my opinion, you have picked two resorts that have unbelievable main pool areas. I could plan an entire day at Copper Creek Villas enjoying the pool, dining at Geyser Point Bar & Grill for lunch, followed by more pool time, and then dinner at Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. The same goes for the Polynesian Resort with its own fantastic dining options and a beachfront to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from. I would highly consider a rest day from the parks and take advantage of either of these resorts.

Sticking with the theme of the resorts you plan to stay at, there are some must-dos that should be added to your list! You have to try the Macadamia Nut Pancakes at Kona Café at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. They are out of this world delicious. I know Kona Café is known for the Tonga Toast, but in my opinion, the pancakes are the star. My family makes a point of eating here every time we come down no matter where we are staying. The best part is, you don't even need an Advanced Dining Reservation to order them. Kona Café offers its menu to-go by placing a mobile order on the My Disney Experience App. You can order from the comfort of your room and head down when you are ready to pick up.

Jennifer, I hope you have an amazing time during your upcoming stay! Have the best time being a part of the World's Most Magical Celebration!

    See ya real soon!
