We are coming in June and have never done Storytellers Cafe for breakfast. Can you tell me if the characters stop at the tables or do they just wave from afar?

Aloha Crystal and welcome back to planDisney!

Storytellers Café at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is one of my favorite character dining experiences.  I have great news too Crystal, the characters actually do both!  You'll know your favorite Disney pals are about to make an appearance when you hear "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" or another energetic song playing!

The characters usually do a short parade around the restaurant, and all guests are encouraged to wave their napkin in celebration as they make their way around the dining room.  After the parade, they then usually start making their way to each table for warm hugs and photos with guests.  If for some reason a certain character hasn't made their way to your table, I've politely asked a Cast Member if they could help get that character to stop by, and they always try to accommodate.

I do want to point out Crystal that the characters only appear at Storytellers Café for breakfast or brunch only, so you'll want to make your dining reservations during those times, and not for dinner if you'd like to visit with the characters.  You can make your dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, so I'd try to book right at that 60 day mark!

I hope this information was helpful for your planning Crystal, and I'm wishing you and your family the most magical trip this Summer!

    Have a magical day!
