Hi there Ashley! Planning your vacation to Walt Disney World can be
almost as much fun as the actual trip! Since your arrival date isn't until July, you have a nice window of time to figure out your daily itinerary, plan for your "must do" attractions and make advanced dining reservations for the table-service restaurants of your choice.
For starters, check out the
Planning Your First Trip resources on the Disney website and order your free Disney Parks Vacation Planning DVD. Next, I would recommend that you pick up a couple of good guidebooks and involve your children in looking through all that Walt Disney World has to offer. Your local library can be a great option or you may wish to purchase a few to have handy during your vacation.
Once you have an idea of your interests, you will want to look at the
Disney theme park calendars for the month of July to determine hours of operation and any attractions that might be closed for refurbishment. Develop a plan for which parks you plan to visit for each day of your trip and then, build your dining reservations around your park touring schedule. Due to popularity, be sure to call
407-WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 or
book online any table-service meals prior to leaving home.
To get your Disney vacation off to an exciting start, you may wish to visit
Downtown Disney! A theme park ticket is
not required and your later 5pm arrival day would be an ideal time to enjoy this shopping and entertainment district.
May your FIRST Disney vacation be
practically perfect in every way!
