Coming in July with our 2 boys age 2 + 6 -1st time. Can't decide on a resort- betw AKL, Carribean Resort pirate rooms + French Quarter. Concerns- time spent on buses to parks vs distance walking to bus stop+restaurant, which kids like most?

Hi Lisa! Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel. This is a good question. The pirate rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort have been a huge success, but that resort is very large and you can spend a long time getting around the resort and to other destinations. Thus I recommend looking at Port Orleans French Quarter or Animal Kingdom Lodge instead. Animal Kingdom Lodge is a fan favorite and a favorite of young children. If your budget allows, I would definitely stay here. The only negative of the resort is you do spend a little longer on the buses getting to the various theme parks, but I think the so many pluses of the resort outweigh that. Port Orleans French Quarter is a very small resort, but it does not have a Table Service restaurant and I think it's food court is limited. If those issues don't concern you, then definitely consider staying here, another fan favorite. I hope this helps. Write back with more questions!
