HI we're coming from ireland (long trip) and using DDP. I've read that you can sometimes get a voucher to have your dessert later in the day (as an ice-cream) if you dont want it right away with your main meal. Is this true or can you get dessert to go?

    Hi Moira,

I know only too well how long of a journey you have ahead of you but it will definitely be a worthwhile one!

My family have used the Disney Dining Plan many times but I have never seen or heard about vouchers been given out so that you can collect your dessert later in the day.

We have however had our desserts boxed up so that we can take them with us to enjoy later in the day several times. If this is something that you would like to do, just ask your server and they will be happy to arrange this for you.

My family might have even been known to eat an apple pie or chocolate cake for breakfast the following day once or twice during previous visits.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
