Hi I am going to be coming with my husband, our two toddlers and our moms. I am trying to clarify if I book 1 fastpass window for all 4 of us adults must we board together? I know certain rides offer rider switch but what about the ones that don't?

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel Samantha! Your family must be getting excited, since your trip is only a couple of months away! When we visit the Walt Disney World Resort, we love bringing the grandparents with us. There are so many attractions we can all enjoy together as a family! Plus, my mom loves to sit on Main Street, U.S.A. with my two kids, so that my husband and I can ride a few attractions together.

When it comes to scheduling FastPass+ reservations, it is perfectly fine to book 1 FastPass+ window for everyone who is riding. Everyone who is linked to that FastPass+ time slot, does not need to board together, since the reservation is good for 1-hour. For example, let’s say you have a FastPass+ reservation for Pirates of the Caribbean from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., first make sure that everyone with a park admission is under this reservation. Now, let’s say one of your toddlers is asleep and grandma is going to hang back to give him/her more time to rest. The 4 of you, not waiting, get on at 10:15 a.m. and the other 2 can board any time before 11:15 a.m. Even though the FastPass+ has all 6 of you in that time slot, the entitlement is linked to each individual MagicBand.

Make sure to check out the attractions that offer Rider Switch, there are plenty that do! We love using Rider Switch when visiting Walt Disney World Resort with our 2-year old. It helps save time and helps save even more time when using it alongside FastPass+. There’s so much to do and see when traveling with toddlers, you will find that there are many attractions you can enjoy as a family. (Tip: If your toddlers need a quiet place, or even just a restroom that is their perfect size, visit the Baby Care Center. There is one in each of the 4 Theme Parks). I also recommend adding Memory Maker to your trip, capturing the memories of my children with their grandparents is my favorite keepsake.

    Have a Magical Day!
