I am coming home from Iraq for my 2 week R&R the end of Feb. and i'm taking my 2 girls (8&7) to WDW. I want them to be princess' for a day. What park and/or events do you recommend?

    Sherri:

Thank you for your service to our country! And enjoy your homecoming!

I think a visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique may be in order for your two princesses!  There are two locations: one at Downtown Disney in the World of Disney Store and in the Magic Kingdom right in the castle!  You'll want to make reservations by calling (407) WDW-STYLE or (407) 939-7895!

Make a memory with your meal, too! You can try for reservations (407-WDW-DINE or 407-939-3463) for Cinderella's Royal Table, but honestly, they're hard to come by.  A great alternative--with more princesses actually--would be the Princess Dining at Akershus (Norway) at Epcot!  Or if you want to go in your BBB gear, hop on the monorail from the Magic Kingdom and check out Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian.  I would definitely recommend reservations, though, for both of these as well!

If you're on a budget, consider buying Disney princess dresses at your nearest Disney store (I've also seen them at Wal-Mart in the toy/doll department) and lay them out on the bed the morning of their special day.  If you've got time, write to Disney for an autographed picture and lay it out beside them. WDW asks all written requests (good for one (1) character fan card) be sent via certified mail to:

    Disney Land resort
    Guest Communications
    ATTN: Character Fan Mail
    P.O. Box 3232
    Anaheim, CA 92803

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
