Coming 5/2014 grandparents 1st visit, mom, dad, 3 boys (7,4,2) and grandparents. Thinking AoA of PC, 5 day tix, 2 MK days. QS dining. And paying for Chef Mickey dinner. Any ideas/thoughts to make trip memorable for all???

I've always found that what my kids remember most about our trips are the unplanned magical moments.  Of course, by definition you can't plan for those, but what you can do is set up the opportunity for a relaxed vibe in which fun and laughter will flourish.  To that end, plan to spend a day poolside.  Visit Disney's BoardWalk and rent a surrey bike that can accommodate the whole family.  Spend an afternoon at Fort Wilderness and let the kids do a pony ride.  Go for indulgent sundaes at Ghirardelli in Downtown Disney.  In my experience, those are the kinds of activities that create an atmosphere where fun is bound to follow.  And where a family is having fun, magical memories can easily be made.  Have an unforgettable trip, Jonathan.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
