I am coming to the Grand Floridian & I am staying in a outer building garden view room. I was wondering if their is a specific building I should request so that I may be close to the main building and monorail? Also, can you ever upgrade for cheaper?

    Hi Chaley!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

I suggest that you don't request a specific building or room.  That's because if that building is not available, then the Disney Cast Member working with your reservation doesn't really understand what's important to you.  Instead, you should put in a room request just as you wrote here:  "I would like to be as close to the main building and the monorail station as possible".  I have found that requests like that work much better in general and I have also been told that by several Disney Cast Members.

With regards to upgrades, you should definitely ask!  Sometimes you can get a great deal on an upgrade when you ask at the front desk.  However, also know that there may just be nothing available as well!

I hope this helps! Please write back with more questions!
