Coming to fw cabins in April with our just 5. & 8 yr olds. Think a golf cart would make life easier as we will be trying to do lots! alternatively would buying cheap scooters for the children work? If golf carts are king how do I persuade DH? Thank y

    Hi Nicola!
Decisions, decisions, One thing is for sure, if you do neither the scooters nor the golf cart, get ready for LOTS of walking, and I mean just at Fort Wilderness. Let alone the 6-9 miles per day you'll be covering while touring the parks. Fort Wilderness has over 700 acres of scenic beauty just waiting to be explored, and even though the resort has its own internal bus system, waits can be lengthy. Also considering the age of your kids, little legs do get tired, and when they do, it can impact everyone's fun. I would recommend the scooters at a minimum, but the golf cart for all, so that no one is left hoofing it around.
Carts have windshields and headlights, seat up to 4 adults and can be rented by the day or the week. Guests must be 18 years or age and older to rent a cart, and reservations are highly recommended by calling the Outpost (407-824-2742). Fort Wilderness carts may be reserved up to one year in advance.
I hope this helps and I wish you all a Magical vacation!! :)
