We are coming to Florida from the UK in March 2019 for 14 days. We can book a Disney Resort with Free Dining for the last 8 days but will be buying park tickets for 14 days. Can we activate our park tickets before we check in and if so, how far in advance?

Hello Stephen and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where as the current British Panelist it's always an added pleasure for me to have the opportunity to offer some pixie dusted assistance to another family from the United Kingdom with their visits to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort!
It's wonderful to hEar you're planning a jolly holiday to the sunshine State of Florida in March 2019 and will be taking advantage of the delicious Free Disney Dining package offer which is currently available via the Walt Disney Travel Company along-side all these other amazing Walt Disney World Deals.
I certainly never leave home without 1st purchasing the UK exclusive Ultimate Tickets which really do provide unlimited access to all 4 Disney Theme Parks, 2 Disney Water Parks and much more besides.  I hope it will be helpful for your scheduling purposes to know that at present 14 day Ultimate Tickets do begin to countdown to expiry from their very 1st day of use which is activated upon entering any Disney Theme or Water Park.
Wishing you and your dear family a magical upcoming Spring at Walt Disney World Resort.
