Greetings, Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney! Your trip is just a few more weeks away, and I bet you are getting so excited! Also, how wonderful that your aunt is coming to Scotland to join you as well! You've likely heard about some recent transportation changes from Disney Springs which might impact your plans, so let's get right to it.
Beginning June 28, Guests boarding Disney Resort
hotel buses and the Sassagoula River Cruise from
Disney Springs will be asked to show a valid Disney Resort hotel room key, dining reservation or experience reservation for the Resort they are visiting.
I'm not sure which hotel your aunt is staying at, but if it's a
Disney Resort hotel, she will be able to take included transportation from her hotel to the parks or Disney Springs and back to her hotel. If she's not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, she will only be able to use Disney transportation from Disney Springs if she has a dining or experience reservation at the hotel she wishes to visit. Some of the off-site hotels do offer transportation to the parks, so I encourage you to ask her to inquire with her hotel about the available options. In either case, Disney transportation to the theme parks from Disney Springs isn't offered.
