Hi there! We are coming for our first time to WDW and have the Dining Plan included in our stay. For the sit down meals, how far ahead of your allotted time are you supposed to be there?? Thanks!

    Hi Jackie,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about dining -- one of my very favorite activities at Walt Disney World.

I usually plan to arrive 10 or 15 minutes ahead of my reservation, a littler earlier if I hope to be seated right at the appointed time. You are not added to the queue for a table until you check in, so arriving a bit in advance helps the cast members manage the flow of guests better and helps keep the reservations on schedule.

Arriving a little early also gives you a chance to take a breath, visit the restroom or get a drink before you are seated. I always enjoy my meal more if I don't feel as if I sprinted breathlessly to the table.

Wishing you lots of delicious, relaxed meals during your visit to Walt Disney World!
