Coming for the first time 8/24-31. How unbearable is the heat? We live in Michigan and summer is hardly humid and not super hot. Also how are the crowds? Ive heard they are really low because of back to school. Thanks for the info!

    Hi there, Liz!

Everyone has a different definition of what "unbearable" is. Having lived in Florida for the majority of my life, I can tell you that yes, that time of the year is very warm and sticky. However, you would be hard-pressed to find any building here in Florida that doesn't offer air conditioning, water fountains, etc.

The average high in August in 92F; the average low is 73F.

While crowd levels are definitely lower than they are during peak summer months (June-early August), they really won't bottom out until after Labor Day. You'll find the crowd levels to be very manageable and, if you take it slow, hydrate, and sunscreen, the heat won't be that much of a factor.

Also, consider bringing cotton clothing (as opposed to synthetic fabrics). Keep your outfits lightweight and light in color. That will help mitigate any discomfort. Be ready to enjoy lots of time in the pool at your Resort, and have a great trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
