We are coming on our first Disney vacation and staying at Animal Kindgom at Kidani. I have two teens, and a 9 year old, any advice for the trip with teenagers?

    Hi, Jennifer!

You are going to absolutely fall in love with Disney's Animal Kingdom-Kidani Village! One of our home resorts, we just came back from a great stay, with 2 teens, 1 10-year old and 2 6-year olds; they were all so sad to leave the resort when the trip was over.

For the teens, I think it's important to allow them to have some say in the day's itinerary. Go online and look at park maps, attraction and entertainment descriptions, even dining venues, and allow them to pick a few of each that are their must-sees. They are old enough to know what they'd like to try, so having them vested in the day's events always keeps my guys happy. (Of course, the younger one gets to do this, too. I just carefully blend the plans in such a way as to keep everyone happy.)

In addition, the pool at Kidani is spectacular, too. While the 9-year old has a blast swimming, sliding and splashing around Samawati Springs Pool and Uwanja Camp, the teens will enjoy pool time, too.

Send me another question including if the teens are girls or boys, their ages and if they have any particular interests that we might be able to accommodate on your upcoming trip. Let's make this everyone's favorite family trip ever, right? I'd love to help!
