Hi Crystal! (And by the way, I think you have a lovely name!)
I have a son with multiple severe food allergies and the Chefs at Walt Disney World Resort have always done a phenomenal job at accommodating my son's
Special Diet. Most dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort offer an
allergy-friendly menu to help Guests order safe dining options. Since quick service locations have a smaller and limited kitchen, it can be more challenging to accommodate multiple allergies and uncommon allergies at these locations. I recommend that your son-in-law speak to the Chef or Manager at these locations to help him determine the options at the restaurant that are safe for him.
For table service restaurants, you will want to be sure to note all of your son-in-law's allergies on your dining reservations, either when you
book your dining reservation online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Since your son-in-law has multiple food allergies, I recommend that you contact the Special Diets Team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days in advance of your trip to get detailed information about accommodating his specific food allergies during your trip and help ensure the Chef is prepared to accommodate him. Once you are on vacation, mention the allergy to the restaurant's host or hostess and to your server. I recommend that your son-in-law speak to the directly to the Chef to help determine a safe meal from appetizers all the way through dessert. Based on our experiences, the Chefs will be very helpful in ensuring his meal is just as tasty as the rest of your group!
T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
