Hi, Nicole! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
I'm so excited to chat with you today about one of my most favorite things, fireworks at
Walt Disney World Resort! In my opinion, there is no better way to end your Disney day than by taking in one of the stunning nighttime spectaculars. If you would like to view one of the fireworks shows from inside a park, you will need both a
theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation for that day. However, if you would prefer not to use a ticket just to enter a theme park in the evening, there are many options for watching fireworks outside of the theme parks.
If you're hoping to catch the limited-time show,
EPCOT Forever, your best bet is to watch this nighttime spectacular from inside the park. However, some of the higher-level fireworks can be seen from the
BoardWalk area, and dining at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera will also give you a good view of EPCOT Forever. Now if you're planning to watch my personal favorite fireworks show,
Happily Ever After, you're going to have quite a few options for viewing outside of
Magic Kingdom Park.
One of my favorite places to watch Happily Ever After is by the marina at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The beach at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort also has a great view of the fireworks. If you would like to watch from
Disney's Contemporary Resort, there is an observation deck on the fourth floor. Booking a dining reservation for
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort is another great option. The view from California Grill's observation deck on the 15th floor of the resort is stunning. Even if you dine here earlier in the day, you're welcome to return to watch the fireworks. Just be sure to hold onto your receipt to show the Cast Members at the restaurant's check-in desk if you plan to do this.
Another option that I would highly recommend is booking a
specialty fireworks cruise. You can charter a private watercraft from one of the nearby resort hotel marinas. Your captain will take you for a relaxing ride around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake before stopping in front of Magic Kingdom Park to watch Happily Ever After. My family and I had this experience last year. The view of the fireworks was stunning, and it was such a relaxing way to enjoy the show.
I hope this information is helpful, Nicole. If you have any additional questions, please visit us again. Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
