Hi Heather!
Thanks for stopping by with your question about my favorite dinner show at Walt Disney World Resort -
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue!
Located at Pioneer Hall at Disney's Fort Wilderness, this foot-stompin' vaudeville-style dinner show is sure to entertain the whole family! With corny jokes, great music, and delicious food, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a rousing evening of Wild-West-style fun.
I checked in with my pal Claire de Lune, my
favorite Pioneer Hall Player, to see what holiday enhancements you can expect during Christmastime. During the holidays, Pioneer Hall will be decked out with Christmas decorations, the Pioneer Hall Players will serenade the crowd with Christmas songs during dinner, and the show concludes with the cast performing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". The rest of the show stays true to the regular skits and songs guests enjoy year-round.
Now, let's talk about food. Oh, the food! Here's a few fun facts about the dinners served each evening in Pioneer Hall: about 900 pounds of fried chicken are served up every night, 400 pounds of pork ribs (slow cooked all day, and delicious!), 120 pounds of corn, 400 pounds of mashed potatoes, and 30 gallons of baked beans. With all-you-care-to-enjoy portions, sometimes I walk out of Pioneer Hall feeling like that entire amount of food was served at OUR table! Let's not forget dessert - make sure to save room for the delicious Strawberry Shortcake. It's so good, they wrote a song about it! It takes 15 gallons of strawberries and 12 gallons of whipping cream to create dessert for the hungry crowd. Unlimited draft beer, wine and sangria are included for guests age 21 and over.
I'm definitely going to be making a reservation for my family to enjoy Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue over the holidays this year. Hope to see you there! - Diane W.
