Coming in February-waiting on the packages to be announced! If I book room only now will Disney charge the entire price or just a deposit? If we need to cancel do they refund the entire amount? Thanks!

    Hi Terri!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

Whenever you make a "room only" reservation, you are just charged one night's deposit and you do not have to pay any more until you are at Walt Disney World unless you make the reservation online!  If you make the reservation online then the system thinks you have a package reservation even if you don't buy tickets!  Package reservations have to be paid in full 45 days before check-in.  So if you want a "room only" reservation, the best way to make it is to call Disney directly.  If you have a "room only" reservation you have until 5 days before your intended check-in date to cancel with no penalties.

"Room only" reservations can be upgraded to packages before you check-in if you decide to add tickets and a Disney Dining Plan later.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
