Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning. As one of two lucky Canadian panelists, it would be my great pleasure to offer my first-hand experience and advice for your excellent question!
During our recent stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, we too needed to have my son’s medication stored in a cold place, and we found that the fridge provided in our Guest Room kept the medication at the recommended temperature. As far as refreezing the icepacks, Cast Members at the Front Desk were able to store our icepacks for us, which we picked up as needed.
Sheena, you are welcome to stop by
Front Desk Services and explain your situation, especially if you feel that the Guest Room fridge cannot keep your medication at the recommended temperature, and I am confident that every effort will be made to accommodate you in the best way possible. In the past, Cast Members have stored our medications on our behalf.
During your visits to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, please stop by the
First Aid locations, where you can ask to store your medication and icepacks. The friendly Cast Members are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
As well, did you know that on the
My Disney Experience App by accessing the
Health Care Services link on your
Welcome Sheena page you can access a variety of services provided by AdventHealth, the official health care provider at Walt Disney World Resort? This will add great convenience to your visit, enabling you to carry forth with your plans as quickly as possible in the event of a minor health setback.

Walt Disney World Resort – Services for Guests with Disabilities in preparation for your visit to read about many accommodations designed to afford all Guests an inclusive and enjoyable visit.
Don’t forget to complete your
Disney Resort Hotel Online Check-In to expedite your arrival at the Front Desk, where you can also pick up your pre-purchased and customized
MagicBands and/or MagicBand+ devices – to help you access the Disney magic during your visit. MagicBands and MagicBand+ devices are not shipped to International destinations currently.
