We will be coming in Feb, 2017. On the Disney Deluxe Dining plan, will my 9 year old be able to eat off the adult menu or will he be required to eat off the child's menu?

    Hi Brittney,

February of next here will be here in no time, and that means it'll be time for Brittney's magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. Yeah!

The Disney Dining Plans offers you a great way to manage your meal budget, since it becomes part of your Magic Your Way Vacation Package. Which means, the only thing you'll need to worry about is which restaurants to choose from. That's my family's biggest dilemma on every trip.

Children aged 3-9 must order from the children menu. That said, you are welcomed to purchase an item out of pocket, or share a dessert or appetizer. That's what we used to do when my kids were younger, and each was hungrier than the rest of the family combined. If you are interested in making changes or purchasing something extra, simply inform your server when ordering, and they'll help you right out.

One last tip: remember that you can make dining reservations starting at 180 days from your Check-In. This is probably right around the corner for you. The easiest way is with the My Disney Experience mobile app, which will also help you in with all your planning needs. So let's keep on planning!
