I will be coming with a family member in a wheelchair but would like to rent a mobile scooter, if a scooter is available, for her once we arrive at the main entrance of Disneyland. Will Disneyland be able to hold our wheelchair while we use the scooter?

Hello there, Barbara! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great question regarding your upcoming visit.

I've got great news for you! If you choose to rent an Electronic Conveyance Vehicle at Disneyland, you will be able to store your family member's wheelchair there at the same place for the day. ECV and wheelchair rentals are located just outside the gates of Disneyland Park. If you are looking at Disneyland Park, this would be to your right. ECV rentals cannot be reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can find the rental prices, safety reminders, and more on the Disneyland website

In your planning, it may be worth going over the Mobility Disabilities page with your family member. There is a lot of great information on there, like what the different transfer options are for attractions.

You will be visiting during a very exciting time at Disneyland Resort as it celebrates its 70th anniversary! I cannot wait to see "Paint the Night" Parade return; and I am anxiously waiting to see "Walt Disney - A Magical Life" featuring an Audio-Animotraunic Walt.

Barbara, thanks so much for stopping by! We will be here for all your other planning questions!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
