Hi Teresa,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to plan your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Wow - time is of the essence. If you have not done so already, book a Magic Your Way Vacation Package. Check the
Special Offers to see if any of those offers apply to your visit dates. Once you have your resort reservation and theme park tickets, start making advanced dining reservations. As crowds have increased, dining reservations are strongly encouraged. I have witnessed families trying to walk-in to a restaurant and being told that there is no availability for the entire evening. I suggest a few character meals - our girls love Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, 'Ohana and Cinderella's Royal Table. Reservations can be made 180 days in advance so you are already within that window.
As long as you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can make your
Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance! Check the height requirements for
attractions. You want to be sure your 6-year old can ride. Be sure to go online exactly 60 days prior to your trip at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. If you wait, you may not be able to make Fast Pass+ selections for the more popular attractions - i.e. Avatar Flight of Passage and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Teresa, once you make your dining reservations, remember that, unless you have Park Hopper tickets, you will need to make your Fast Pass+ selections for the same parks as your dining reservations. If, for example, you have a dinner reservation at Be Our Guest, that same day will need to be a Magic Kingdom day if you have base theme park tickets. Happy Planning!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
