Hi Jaynee,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is a great choice for your August visit to Walt Disney World Resort, especially if there are ice cream lovers in your party. Temperatures can be pretty warm during that month, which will make it a perfect time of year to try to tackle a Kitchen Sink!
Both lunch and dinner at Beaches & Cream will require one table-service entitlement if you’re on the
Disney Dining Plan. I know that most Disney chefs can accommodate all kinds of
Special Dietary Requests, including gluten-free diets. I’ve found an unofficial website, Gluten Free in Orlando (http://www.gfinorlando.com/) that raves about the No Way Jose as one of the best gluten-free desserts she’s ever eaten at Walt Disney World Resort! The blog post also includes pictures of the “allergy menu” so that you can see what options are available to you.
For more information, or if you have any additional concerns about finding gluten free items while in Walt Disney World Resort, you can always send an email to Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com. They’ll be able to give you more specific information and assistance for your upcoming visit.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
