Hi La Rae,
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. My family and I have often visited Walt Disney World over Easter. We enjoy the great weather at that time of year, and it is nice to be able to visit when kids are out of school.
I do see that the
4-Day Military Promotional Tickets are not valid at any theme parks or gated attractions between April 13 and April 20, 2014. Do not worry, there will still be plenty for you to do! My biggest advice to you is to check the activities at the Walt Disney World resorts. Last year, we stayed at Disney's Fort Wilderness Cabins over Easter. When we arrived, we received a schedule of events happening at the resort on Easter. These lasted from morning to night, and included character meetings, Easter crafts, and an Easter Egg hunt. While these can change from year to year and resort to resort, I definitely suggest that you look for the schedule of Easter events at your resort.
As Easter gets closer, Disney may also announce some special dining on Easter. In the past, many of the locations for Easter dining have been at resorts rather than theme parks, so you could take advantage of those. In the past, these have included restaurants such as Captain's Grille at Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
I recommend that you keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as your trip gets closer for announcements about Easter activities at Walt Disney World for 2014. I hope that this information helps, La Rae! Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
