Hi we are coming early November next year, is this a good time of year to come to Orlando and also will we see Christmas decor? Thanks

    Hi Daniel!

Welcome to planDisney. I’m thrilled you stopped by to ask us this question, especially since you're asking about one of my absolute favorite times to visit Disney! I'm honestly getting a little giddy just thinking about your November trip because you seriously picked such a perfect time.

First off, the weather in early November is just chef's kiss!  It's that sweet spot where you can walk around the parks all day without feeling like you're melting into the pavement. No more of that brutal Florida summer heat, but it's still warm enough that you don't need to pack a ton of layers. It's honestly perfect park weather.

But here's my favorite part: You're going to catch the very beginning of the holiday magic! Disney doesn't wait until December to start the festivities. Shortly after Halloween wraps up, they basically transform Magic Kingdom overnight. I'm talking garlands everywhere, twinkling lights that make everything look like a fairy tale, and all those gorgeous holiday touches that make your heart feel all warm and fuzzy. The very first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has historically been held between the first and second weeks of November, so the park must be ready by then.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios starts decking the halls early, too, in preparation for Jollywood Nights! This park and EPCOT tie for second on my list of favorite parks to visit during the holidays.

EPCOT usually takes a little longer to get fully decorated because they're wrapping up their Food & Wine Festival, and gearing up to kick off the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. But you might catch glimpses of the preparations. Same with Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

But, I have to tell you, there's something absolutely magical about walking down Main Street for the first time during the holidays. When you see Cinderella Castle all lit up with those holiday projections and you hear that festive music playing... Daniel, I'm not even kidding when I say it might make you a little emotional. It gets me every single time, and I've been visiting during the holiday season for years!

You're going to have the most amazing trip! All the holiday magic is just starting to bloom, but without all the chaos that comes later in the season. It’s going to be a very merry visit, for sure!
