We are coming to DW in May and have never been to Epcot. I know Epcot is huge and we can't see it all in 1 day so I was hoping to get help planning a day geared towards our 5 year old daughter. What do you think she would like best to do/see at the park.

    Evelyn,

This is a great question and Epcot is one of my favorite places.  I also have a daughter your daughter's age, so I know from first hand experience that there is lots to see and do there that might peak her interests.  Epcot is a large area to cover, but with a plan and highlights noted, you are sure to get in a fun-filled day!

Within Future World, some of my must-dos for the little ones are the Living Seas with Nemo and Friends, Spaceship Earth and Journey into Imagination.  Be sure to check out the Epcot Character Spot if she is a fan of seeing the characters. Characters are there all day long. There are also various characters throughout the World Showcase. For example, Mulan can often be found in China, Marie (the kitten from Aristocats) in France, and Alice and Mary Poppins are often spotted in the United Kingdom.  For all of these character experiences, be sure to grab a times guide upon entering the park for the most up to date times and schedules of the characters, as they are always subject to change.

In World Showcase, my kids love the Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure. This is an interactive scavenger hunt throughout the countries in Epcot.  She can play for as little or as long as she wants, but it is a great way to get her interested in the countries that she explores along the way. There is no extra charge to play this game.

Lastly, if you are able, there is the Princess Storybook meals at Akershus in Norway. The food is delicious and it is always a treat for the little princess!  If she isn't into that, our family tradition is the Biergarten in Germany. It is an all-you-can-eat buffet with performances by the Bavarian musicians throughout the day. My kids love to get on the dance floor and enjoy the music during our meal!

I hope this was helpful and that she has an awesome day in my favorite park!
