We are coming to DW in Mar 09 with one 10 yr old and a 1 yr old. With a stroller I am wondering about the transportation system around disney world. Is it best for us to stay at a resort near the boat or monorail system or risk it at a value resort (POP)

Hi Tammy.  I've always found it worth the extra money to stay at a deluxe resort that is easily accessible to at least one park.  It's nice to just hop on a monorail or a ferry and not have to fold up a stroller to get your tired child back to the resort.  Also, since the travel time to these resorts is less, you can spend more time enjoying the parks while still returning to your resort for that much needed nap time.

Actually, if you choose to stay in one of the hotels surrounding the Boardwalk, there are walkways to get to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Hope this helps, and have a magical time no matter where you choose to stay!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
