coming to DW end of jan 2011! kids are 6 & 9!!chef mickeys breakfast last time and loved it!! CM best for a.m. or lunch/pm good? wondering a couple of suggestions for best breakfast and also best noon or supper character dining?? thanks (no princess di

    Hi Amy,

Chef Mickey's is great.  I prefer their breakfast over their dinner, but both are good.  My favorite breakfast buffet is the one at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  They serve the best coffee and have the freshest tasting eggs along with some interesting African inspired offerings.

There aren't that many non-princess character lunch buffets.  The two that come to mind are Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios and Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom.  The Crystal Palace features Pooh and friends where as Hollywood and Vine has all the stars of Playhouse Disney or Disney Junior.  My daughter, in kindergarten, loves the Hollywood and Vine buffet.  The kids are encouraged to join performers in the center of the restaurant while they dance and sing to Playhouse Disney songs.

I would recommend the Garden Grill for dinner.  The food is very good and the characters are great.  We always have a blast with Chip 'n' Dale.  For extra fun, don't tell the kids that the restaurant rotates and see how long it takes them to figure it out.

Hope you and your family have a very magical vacation,

    Michelle
