Coming to DW Dec 22-27. Planning to take ubers from place to place. However, I'm concerned about potential for shortages of Ubers since it's Christmas time. Anyone have experience getting ubers at Christmas time, including at night? Long wait?

Hi there, Carter! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

A visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth during the Holiday Season is unlike any other vacation! The Disney magic mixed with the joy of the holidays makes for an unforgettable experience. Whether you spend time at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or prefer a more low-key experience, like snacking around the World Showcase during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, you're in for some extra pixie dust at this time of year!

Carter, this question can be difficult to answer, as my magic wand can't quite see into the future. However, I can answer from my own experience. I'm big on using Ride Share Apps to navigate during my trips. I find that there are generally plenty of rides to go around during most times of the day and times of the year. However, during peak times, like park closing, the end of after-hours events, etc., it can be difficult to secure a ride from a Ride Share Service with the same convenience. I'd expect longer waits as many Guests will be doing the same thing. For example, my family and I requested a Ride Share pick-up after the Fourth of July Harmonious Show at EPCOT. It did take at least 30 minutes to secure the ride and be picked up from the assigned location. The Holidays tend to be busy and if you leave when everyone else leaves, I'd certainly say you can expect delays.

Luckily, Disney Transportation is offered, too. You may consider comparing the time it would take you to catch a bus (judging by the line) to the time it will take to get a ride from your favorite app. While Disney Transportation may still have a wait, it is still very reliable and there will be no Mouseketeers left behind! You can travel by bus, Monorail, boat or my favorite, the Disney Skyliner!

I hope this helps answer your question today, Carter!

    Happy planning,

    Ashley
