We are coming to DW in 14 days! It will be the FIRST visit for my husband and 3 kids (ages 10,5, and 2). We have ADR for breakfast on several mornings around 8am. Should we drive our car since transportation doesn't start until 8am and we would be late?

Hi Connie!  There should be no reason to have to take your car to the early morning dining reservations unless you feel that it is more convenient and easy for your family.  The busses and monorail will run before the parks open to allow those guests who have special dining to get to their locations.  When you check into your resort please ask the cast members for their guidance on timing with the transportation to each location since you did not give that information here.  They will be more then happy to help to make sure you get to your locations on time!

Enjoy this first trip for the family!  I am sure you have three very excited children in your house right now!
