We are coming down for the Star Wars weeks in May and have booked a 3 bedroom grand villa at OKW. None of the discounts seem to apply. We got the complete package with dining and Magic Your Way, Hopper tickets. Why no discount for an extensive package?

    Hi Kathryn!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  Star Wars Weekend is a lot of fun.  It's definitely a "must do" for any Star Wars fans.  Be sure to watch the Hyperspace Hoopla, which takes place each evening of the event!  It's a blast!

Disney basically releases discounts and promotions in an attempt to increase the occupancy rates in the various Disney hotels and to increase attendance in the theme parks.  If they didn't think the discounts were necessary, they probably would not release any.  Unfortunately, not all discounts apply to all resorts or during all times.  This has happened to me and my family several times.  Sometimes I'll change our plans to make them compatible with a discount and sometimes I don't.  I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

However, I do have a suggestion.  You can send a letter expressing your concern to Guest Relations.  You should send a letter to Walt Disney World Guest Relations, P.O. Box 10000, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830.  You can also call them at (407) 824-4321, but I think writing would be best.

Please have a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and please write back if you have any more questions!
