We are coming down March 11th-March 20th with a one & three-year old. We are definately doing Magic Kingdom and are undecided whether to do Animal Kindom or Hollywood Studios. Which would you think would be the most fun for these little ones?

Hi Cathy!  I just helped a friend with a Disney vacation and had this question from her about what parks to take the younger ones to visit.  This is a personal preference of course as there are wonderful things to see and do for all age groups in each park but when putting the list side by side of what a young child would enjoy the Animal Kingdom will win out over Hollywood Studios at this time.

Children naturally love animals so that is the first draw to this park. The Safari ride is fabulous for all ages as you will surely see many great animals in a natural setting such as elephants and gazelles and giraffes. There are two short walking trails where you can get up close and personal with beasts such as gorillas and tigers. I have been there when the gorillas were beating their chests and interacting with each other which was quite a thrill.

Rafikis Planet Watch is a must for the younger kids. You take a short train ride next to the Safari attraction and it will take you to a location where you can pet and brush the resident goats and sheep. If you are lucky you might be able to watch them training them as well. This is a great place to have short lines for character greetings too.

Other places you will want to not miss here in this park is the Lion King show, Flights of Wonder show, Finding Nemo the musical, Boneyard, Triceratop Spin, and Camp Minnie and Mickey!  All of these attractions are perfect for this age group.

    Have a great vacation!
