We are coming down in Feb 2020, my husband and I want to build your own lightsabers. We were wondering instead of sending it back to our WDWroom can we have them shipped to our Pa home?

    Bright Suns, Rebecca!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I so happy to hear you’re planning a visit to Black Spire Outpost – I just returned from Batuu, and had a truly amazing time exploring Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

The lightsaber building experience at Savi’s Workshop is easily one of my very favorite things to do in the land. From the moment you meet the “Gatherers” and enter the workshop, you will feel the Force flowing as you choose each part of your lightsaber and participate in a special ceremony as it is first activated. I had goosebumps!

Rebecca, we asked a Cast Member on Batuu and were told that Guests may ship their lightsabers “anywhere in the galaxy.” At the end of the building process, you’ll receive a padded carrying case for the lightsaber, and there is the option to ship it to the front of Disney’s Hollywood Studios for pick-up when your day there is done, to send it back to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, or to ship it home. If you ship it back to your resort, it’s my understanding that resorts are able to ship to your home, but I would check with a Cast Member at your resort hotel in advance of your visit to Batuu just to be safe. Shipping rates vary, so if you’d like more specific information on shipping, I recommend calling Guest Relations at (407) 939-5277.

Have so much fun living your Star Wars adventure! I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek inside Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the second attraction coming to Walt Disney World's Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in December 2019, and it is going to be incredible. As you plan for your visit, be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news, and get ready for an epic time. Please come back and see us if we can answer any more questions!

    ‘Til the Spire,
    Robyn
