Hello! We are coming down with family including our grandchildren for New Years. As the kids are 2 & 4, We wondered if the resorts have special things happening as well, since it will be too late for them at the parks. We will be at Saratoga Springs.

    Hello Lorie!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There is nothing more magical than spending the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort.

New Year’s Eve is definitely a special date, and I am so thrilled to share with you that a new celebration has just been announced for Disney’s Contemporary Resort. “Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration” is a family-friendly event for kids of all ages to ring in the new year with a delicious buffet-style dinner inspired by Disney Pixar. You can expect Sarge from Cars to welcome you to the Ballroom of the Americas featuring vignettes of Pixar movies, so look out for Andy’s room in Toy Story and other surprises in a beautiful immersive setting. Beloved characters from Toy Story, The Incredibles, Cars and Up will also join Guests in celebrating, making the evening more memorable.

There will be fun activities for the children, such as Pixar face painting, a balloon artist and even a boot camp with Sarge. Of course no party is complete without good music, so a DJ will be playing tunes from Radio Disney. For the grand finale, Guests will head outdoors to say hello to 2018 with a viewing of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The party is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. and end at 12:15 a.m. Reservations can be made starting July 11 by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463.

I hope this helps you while planning and that you have an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
