Hello, Patrick! Welcome to planDisney! You brought an excellent question today! The Disney Park Pass Reservation System is still new to many Guests! I'm happy to help guide you so that you know which parks are available before you purchase a theme park ticket.
Guests are able to check for park availability
prior to purchasing a theme park ticket! One way to do this is to visit the page for each individual park on the
Walt Disney World Resort website. For example, when you visit the page for
Disney's Hollywood Studios, you will see a "button" that reads "Check Availability." The button can be located directly under the photo of Mickey and Minnie taking a swim! When you click that button, it will take you to the
Disney Park Pass Reservation Calendar. Here you will find a color-coded calendar of parks that are available and not available. Once you identify which parks are available, you can then make the decision to purchase a theme park ticket or not.
For example, on Friday, April 2, 2021, I see that there are three parks available - Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT. You should use the Disney Park Pass Reservation Calendar to check dates for your planned visit as park availability is always subject to change.
Patrick, I hope this information is helpful as you continue your planning! Please come back to planDisney if we can be of further assistance!
