I am coming down to Disney World for a conference and I am bringing my family. We are making a vacation out of it. Any suggestions for something fun to do at night time when I am available besides going to the parks, downtown Disney, or the water pageant

Hi there, David! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

What a great idea to make your business trip into a fun family vacation. After all, you know what they say about all work and no play. Let's help you work some "play" into that trip!

Sounds like you've already squared away plans for some of your activities and are looking for some more ways to spend your free time. In that case, try looking to the Resort hotels for things to do when the sun goes down. Here are just a few ideas.

    • Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue - A hand-clappin', knee-slappin' dinner show at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground that features some of the best darn fried chicken you've ever tasted.
    • Chef Mickey's - Any character dining experience is something to add to your list, but this is our family favorite.
    • 'Ohana or Spirit of Aloha - Two different experiences at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort; enjoy a festive table-service meal at 'Ohana or a real Hawaiian luau at Spirit of Aloha. Then hit the beach for a view of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular.

I hope this helps you have some after-work fun with your family, David. Stop by again if we can answer any more questions. Wishing you a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
