    I am coming down for my birthday and the GREAT BIG RELAY for the American Cancer Society on September 17-19th. I will be looking for a set of the 50th ears for my birthday present. Without going into the parks , where could I get a hat embroidered?

    Hello Debra and welcome to planDisney!  We're so happy that you've taken the time to stop by.

    Oh boy!  I'm thrilled to hEAR that you have plans to celebrate your birthday at Walt Disney World Resort this coming September and that you'll be combining your special day with such a worthy charity event!

    Debra you'll of course want to crown such a happy occasion by treating yourself to a pair of icon embroidered Mickey Ears, and I'm happy to say that Guests can purchase a plethora of personalised Disney merchandise from Disney's Wonderful World of Memories.  This pixie-dusted shopping spot can be found tucked away within the pretty Marketplace area of Disney Springs.

    It's so fun that you'll be celebrating a birthday along with Walt Disney World Resort as it also commemorates its 50th anniversary with The World’s Most Magical Celebration beginning on October 1st, 2021!  My one note of caution would be that at present details of any merchandise for the 50th anniversary have not yet been released.  I would recommend keeping a keen EAR on the Disney Parks Blog for any news relating to The World's Most Magical Celebration such as this recent EARidescant article - Two New Nighttime Spectaculars and Much More Will Debut October, 1st to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.

    Debra, you'll also want to be sure to stop by almost any Guest Relations location to collect a complimentary "I'm celebrating" button!  Wearers of these cute little buttons are often wished a "Happy birthday!" from Cast Members, and other Guests alike.  

    No birthday is ever quite complete without a celebration cake!  I'm happy to share that Guests are able to purchase a variety of Cakes at Walt Disney World Resort and, personally I would highly recommend a visit to Amorette’s Patisserie whilst you're shopping at Disney Springs.  I believe that the cakes made in this oh-so-tempting bakery truly are made with a dash of pixie dust!
