We are coming to D'land soon, and will both have scooters. I was considering Genie+, but I see that many of the G+ rides have special wheelchair entry. Wonder if you think it's really worth paying for G+, with our quicker wheelchair entry?

Greetings, Bill, and welcome to planDisney! How exciting to be planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. My family sounds like yours because we're all about the attractions! We love experiencing everything from the Mad Tea Party to Space Mountain. I'm sure you will make some magical memories at Disneyland Resort, so let's talk about the best way to enjoy the attractions there.

I had a mobility issue recently and rented a wheelchair for a Disney visit, so I'm happy to share my experience. Being in a wheelchair or scooter does not guarantee a shorter wait. In most cases, you'll wait in the regular standby queue. For a few attractions, you might get a return time window so you don't have to stay there, or you might wait in an accessible queue. For example, for one attraction, my husband wheeled me directly to a wheelchair entrance where there were only a few people ahead of us, but we waited the same amount of time as we would have in the standard queue.

You are welcome to check out the Disability Access Services information to see if anyone in your party qualifies for this service, but mobility issues typically do not. I'd suggest reviewing the Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities brochure, especially the section on Mobility Disabilities. You can see the policies and procedures for individual attractions for guests in Electric Conveyance Vehicles there.

Considering all that, Bill, I'd suggest you purchase Genie+ Service to get the most out of your time. Not only will you have shorter wait times for most attractions at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, but you'll also get free digital downloads of your attraction photos and all photographs taken that day by Disney PhotoPass photographers. My family loves Magic Shots, and having all those high-quality photos helps preserve those treasured memories of our trip.

Bill, I hope I've given you some information to help you plan your upcoming visit. I know it will be practically perfect! Please feel free to stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
