Hi, Brittnay! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question!
Hooray! Your trip to the Disneyland Resort is just around the corner! You’ve made an excellent choice booking a character breakfast to celebrate your little one’s birthday. She is going to have a blast meeting her favorite characters so make sure to have the autograph book and the camera ready. I have attended both character breakfasts you mention and you really can’t go wrong with either one. It might all depend on which characters your daughter prefers. While character lineups are always subject to change, you can usually meet Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, and Pluto at Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet at
Storytellers Cafe, and Donald, Daisy, Stitch, and Minnie at Donald Duck’s Seaside Breakfast at
Disney’s PCH Grill (this replaced the Surf’s Up Breakfast with Mickey and Friends earlier this year).
Another consideration could be where you are staying. If you are lodging at either Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, then it’s extremely convenient to dine at the restaurant located in the hotel at which you are staying. There’s nothing easier than simply walking downstairs to your character breakfast in the morning. Or, if you are planning on enjoying Disney California Adventure Park after your meal, then Storytellers Cafe is just a few short steps away from the park.
No matter which meal you ultimately decide on, your daughter will have a positively delightful birthday breakfast. See ya real soon!
