Hello Joanne and may I wish you a warm welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
How super excited you must be now your September visit this coming Autumn to Walt Disney World Resort is right around the river bend next month.  I just love it when my own counter to Disney gets down into the lower digits and eventually to those all important single figures!
You've already made such a smart choice by opting for the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan that sometimes comes along free as part of magical vacation package deal!  In my own experience I'm more than happy to share that Guests can indeed upgrade an already arranged Disney Dining Plan up to 10 days or so prior to arrival at Walt Disney World Resort by dialling the phone number for Non-Reservation Questions contained within this handy Walt Disney World Phone Directory where a knowledgable Cast Member can provide all the correct additional pricing information that's required when upgrading.
Magical wishes and happy Disney dining!
