We are coming to Disneyworld Oct 21-24 for the MNSSHP with our 5 and 6 yr old granddaughters. I heard there is a carriage type hayride telling the story of the headless horseman in the campground area but can't seem to locate it on the web. Thanks, Bev B

    Hi Beverly!

It's the Haunted Carriage Ride at Fort Wilderness.  My family and I did this last October.  However, I don't think I would recommend it for a 5 and 6 year old.  My youngest son was 6 years old last October and he was pretty scared when the Headless Horseman showed up; I had to distract him and try to block his view, etc, while being chased.  That said, my wife and oldest son, age 11 at the time, absolutely loved that part of the carriage ride.  If I had to do it all over again, I would send my wife and oldest son on the ride, while my youngest and I stayed in the hotel or just walked around the resort.

The Haunted Carriage Ride can be booked by calling (407) WDW-PLAY.  The carriages leave from the Blacksmith Shop at Fort Wilderness.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
