We are coming to DisneyWorld in Dec and are looking at buying 7 day Park Hopper passes but would also like to visit ESPN on 1 day. Apart from buying a 6 day PH and then a seperate 1 day PH with Water etc, is there a way we can get the ESPN for 1 day?

There sure is, Annette.  It isn't necessary to buy a park hopper with the water park and more option just to gain admission to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.  If you were planning to visit the water parks and/or DisneyQuest, too, then it might be the most cost effective way to go but since you only want to visit ESPN you're best bet is probably to purchase a general one day admission.  As I write in July, 2011, the current price is $14.50 for guests over age 10 and $10 for guests ages three through nine, but prices are always subject to change.  Up to date information can be found by clicking HERE and expanding the "complex admission" heading.  I hope that helps!
