Hi, we are coming to disneyworld from Australia in Dec/Jan. Last time we were there in 2012 my niece missed out on the bibbidi bobbidi boutique as my sister couldn’t afford it. My niece is now 21, is there any similar experience for an adult?

Hiya Kate - welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad that you stopped by with your question for our team of panelists today. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I can't tell you how much excitement there is surrounding the reopening of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique located at Magic Kingdom Park in just a couple of weeks. Now, little Mouseketeers can again be transformed into princesses and knights, truly dressing the part to enjoy the magical Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Upon reopening, transformations at the Boutique will be available for Guests between the ages of 3 and 12, and they must be accompanied by an adult. So, if there are any little ones in your crew, your niece could join them during their experience, but unfortunately, she won't be able to have her own royal transformation - at least not here.

That being said, I think I might have an even better idea! During my last few trips, I've spent at least an hour getting pampered at The Grand Floridian Spa! They have a full slate of services that's constantly being expanded, ranging from massages and nail treatments to full salon hair services. They even painted a little hidden Mickey on my nail the last time I got a pedicure!

I think this is the closest adult experience to what the little ones get at the Boutique, and you can always complete the look with some fun merchandise from the Theme Parks or the World of Disney store at Disney Springs! Reservations are highly recommended, and I also recommend spending some time at the Resort before or after your Spa experience. There are fantastic places to eat and drink, and when you're done, you can even walk on the new pathway to Magic Kingdom Park along the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon!

I hope this information is helpful as you plan to make this a truly pixie-dusted trip for your niece. A lot of things have changed in exciting ways since your last visit in 2012, so be sure to come back with any other questions that might pop up as you continue planning - we're here to help!
