Hi James!
So happy to see you back here at planDisney. It looks like you have been planning this magical visit to the
Disneyland Resort for quite some time, and I bet you are excited to step onto Main Street in just a few days! I'm glad to see my planDisney pals have helped you along your way, so let's get those final planning puzzle pieces in place to make for a magical visit.
We're likely to find the answer to your question within the
Disneyland Resort Rules, and it will likely come down to size. First things first, let's take a look at the "Prohibited Items" list as this provides some helpful information on what is allowed in the parks and sizing on items such as bags, coolers, strollers, and even tripods. According to this list, bags with or without wheels cannot be larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Additionally, selfie sticks, hand-held extension poles, and tripods or monopod stands that cannot fit inside a standard backpack or those that extend over 6' are not allowed inside the parks. Before you enter the parks, all Guests will go through security where they will search for any non-permitted items. Additionally, it can be at the discretion of the Security Team if certain items or bags on the cusp of the maximum dimensions are allowed in. How are we doing here, James? I hope that the equipment you are hoping to bring fits within these parameters!
If you find yourself needing to store anything during your visit, there are lockers of various sizes available for rent both inside the parks and outside the Main Entrance Gates. They are very easy to find, but when in doubt, a Cast Member will happily point you in the right direction.
As you are finalizing your plans, I do want to point out that there is a special event at
Disneyland Park on March 4th - Disneyland After Dark: 90s Nite. This will close the park to regular day Guests at 8:00 PM. If you have a Park Hopper ticket for that day, you can easily pop over to California Adventure for the rest of the evening as it is currently scheduled to be open until 10:00 PM.
Before I send you on your way, I do want to tell you about my favorite castle photo spot, which is not directly in front as you might expect! There is a little path just off to the right towards Snow White's Grotto on your way to Fantasyland where you can get a beautiful photo. It's in front of the moat, so you do not have other Guests walking right behind you and it makes for a quieter moment - just you and the castle!
Alright, I hope we have set you up for success! If you have any additional last-minute questions, you know where to find us here at
planDisney!
Magic awaits!
