    I am coming to Disneyland this October and although not staying in the Grand Californian Hotel wanted to surprise my kids with a Character breakfast. If this could happen would I need to have a park ticket for the day or could I do it on the rest day?

    I’m thrilled to see you’re planning to surprise your children with a Character Breakfast at the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. There are two delightful experiences for you to choose from: Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures and Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet. 

    Helen, I’m happy to report that you do not need to be a Guest staying at the Grand Californian Hotel to do a Character Dining there. They’re popular experiences and I recommend that you make advanced dining reservations on the Disneyland Resort website or the Disneyland Mobile App as soon as possible. And although Guests staying at the Grand Californian Hotel has a special entrance to California Adventure Park, you do not need to have a theme park ticket to enjoy your Character Dining. You can enter the Grand Californian Hotel from its main entrance on Disneyland Drive or Downtown Disney District between Sephora and Disney Wonderful World of Sweets.
